Polaroid loving.

The Universe listened. And with help of my friend Joy who pointed where I could get a polaroid camera, I ordered one yesterday. So I met up with Mike, the online seller, at Gateway Cubao yesterday afternoon. Traffic to Cubao is really bad, so we left the car at SM Makati and took the MRT. I haven't taken the MRT for a long time, I was actually thrilled about the train ride and immensely enjoyed it.
But that MRT ride was just a bonus. My pre-loved Polaroid camera (I learned it came straight from Japan) was what really made me very excited and happy. My pink Fuji Instax has
Sadly though, I couldn't get hold of any polaroid films/sheets here. It's all on ebay (or Amazon). And even ebay sellers from the country no longer have stocks. It's difficult to get these films since Polaroid stopped production in early 2008.
But there's good news! In 2010, The Impossible Project will start production of the films for vintage polaroid cameras. So there's hope for us, Polaroid lovers.
Many other groups launched their own campaign to save polaroid. Go visit and sign the petitions and/or download pre-written postcards and send them to manufacturers.
I once wrote that I don't want anything for my birthday. I change my mind. I want polaroid films. *grin* That, and coffee dates. =)
