Reasons to be Happy.

Edeena and I during Bambi's birthday dinner.

I've a lot of reasons to be happy these days. The other day, we celebrated Bambi's birthday at Lutong Macau and had the usual conversations over coffee at Starbucks. She shared so many stories lately and I'm grateful for these moments that I get to know her a little bit more.

. . . . .

Finally got a cover for my camera strap. Got two, actually. And I'm happy.

. . . . .

Last weekend, CBB mentioned that people always seem to remember my face (common face, huh? Haha). And almost always, people are nice to me. I was kind of surprised when he said that. Not that I never noticed. But I just thought that maybe, people are just like that -- nice to everyone they meet.

You know, how the lady at my favorite chocolate shake counter would beam her megawatt smile and remember my favorite shake. And I observed that while she was nice with everyone, it's true, she was nicer to me.

Or how, during the times I frequented the Starbucks store near my place, the baristas would deliver my drink to my table instead of letting me get my drink at the counter. And sometimes, I don't even have to say anything, I just smile and pay because they already know what I want.

Or how the staff at this bookstore I always go to just gave me a discount card without letting me collect all the receipts of the books I bought from them. And how they'd text me when new hardbound books arrive.

Or how the girls at the Salon would invite me to their birthdays, binyag of their children, christmas parties... or receive my packages for me when I'm not home.

I actually have a long list of people who treat me well -- from guards, to vendors, to sales ladies of my fave boutiques, to parking attendants.

I'm always kind to people no matter who they are, but also, I'm not the most friendly person there is (I'm shy), and I hate am not very good at small talks. So I feel blessed that people are nice to me even when I could be so shy (or snob, depends on how you interpret it) infront of them.

I'm blogging about this now because I realized, and CBB was right, that not many people are lucky loved like that.

How often are we grateful for the people who treat us well?

Today, I am grateful.

. . . . .

Someone I know is pregnant! *grin*

Last night, my friends and I already firmed up our plans for the outreach we are going to do on Saturday. :)

. . . . .

I'm off to Cebu on Sunday!
