One of my favorite things about traveling is discovering and re-discovering friends. You spend time laughing and talking and just being silly.

I love those moments when you just sit with a friend and talk about the painful parts of your childhood or the ridiculous facts about your life. Facts you never tell anyone. Like how many shoes you own because it would seem very imeldific and crazy, or shallow. And they get shocked for a second or two. But after the initial shock, they go back to loving you. And when you explain to them that the shoe-hoarding was brought about by having so little growing up, and that you are giving away almost all your shoes now because you've gotten over the childhood pain, they love you even more after that (I assume).

And you also listen to their stories, stories they share at dinner table (Chiiiiin!), and they shock you a bit, too. And you laugh and get fascinated at the things they've done or still capable of doing. And you feel suddenly blessed to be privy to their thoughts and secrets. You look at them as they tell their stories, as they get misty-eyed between sentences, and you have a better appreciation and understanding of them.

And you go home knowing your life has been enriched. You feel fuller and happier.

. . . . .

Photo: During the bonfire at Guimaras where Tin, Chin, and Mina danced the night away. It was so much fun! After all the dancing, we sat down around the fire and had a little Q&A. :)

. . . . .

Just a few photos of the trip.

We visited Miag-ao Church, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Many things happened there and I think the three girls or Marky
would be the best people to tell the story.

No living thing should suffer like this!
At the jeep terminal.

Simple Joys.
We went to the boulevard, all bulingit and sweaty from our Miag-ao trip.
We ate and went biking as the sun was setting. Fun!

Sunset at the Boulevard.

Another sunset shot.

More photos and stories soon.

Thank you Julai! :) I'm glad my photos have a positive effect on you.

I used to be imeldific. But not anymore. I'm going back to basics and what is essential. :)
