Finally Meeting Tin.

One of the reasons why I was excited about our recent Iloilo-Guimaras trip was that I would be meeting Tinay for the first time. I can't remember exactly when and how we found each other in cyberspace, but I'm glad we did. I love her writing, her spirit, her take on life, her love for her family, her devotion to teaching kids, her passion for art and music.

She was everything I imagined her to be -- Beautiful -- mind, body, spirit.
And I love her openness to things, ideas, and people.
She's only 25 and she has this certain depth you can't find in many 25-year-olds.

Today, she posted an album of our Iloilo-Guimaras photos in FB and wrote:

Meeting Aileen is such a milestone.
I have been fond of her art.
Now, I am fonder of her heart of humility, laughter,
beauty and some refreshing squeeze of wit and sarcasm.

It is very rare that we meet people who get us, who understand our brand of humor or sarcasm. And Tin gets me. I get her.

When we met that Saturday afternoon in SM Iloilo, there was no awkwardness or uncomfortable silence between us. We hugged, giggled, talked, and laughed a lot, almost as if we've been friends forever.

One day, I would love to go back to Iloilo, visit her, and linger in places where she teaches kids or where she gazes at stars.

. . . . .

Photo 1: I wanted to post a solo photo of Tin, but I really love this picture of her and her guy-love. Taken during our biking/walking time at the Boulevard. Iloilo.

Photo 2: Tin and Chin posing for my cam. Guimaras.

It was one of those moments (meeting Tin for the first time) that will forever stick to memory, Chi. And yes, she's beautiful. And goodness, she's oozing with sex appeal! Chin calls it 'sensual.' :)

I certainly would love to have more trips like this. :)

So not true, Badeth! You have depth and substance. And certainly one of the most intelligent and smartest people I know.
