That Afternoon with Mama and Ana.

Before I continue on with my stories of the wedding and what happened in Pandanon Island, I'd like to blog about visiting Mama and Ana. There's danger that I might be overtaken by more stories and I certainly wouldn't want to forget that afternoon I spent with them. You see, I haven't even blogged about Guimaras yet and here I am with so many stories tucked in my pocket.

When I got to Cebu last week, Ana and I agreed to meet up because Chelo sent something for me (that something deserves a seperate blog entry). It was a bit of a long story of changing venues, calling Ana for their address, and missing a turn because I'm so bad at directions. But I arrived at their lovely home all excited and happy. Besides, I kind of like getting lost sometimes. Because finally finding what you are looking for feels sweeter that way.

That afternoon with Mama and Ana (Roi, Suzzette, and Jojo joined us, too) was the most fun! We laughed a lot. Everyone was so witty and funny. We talked about everything -- from the sublime to the mundane, from life to politics, from character to weight, from twitter to facebook. Yes, Mama has twitter and only tweets with Ellen (Degeneres). First name basis silang Mama. LOL. Speaking of names, I also asked Mama the origin of all her children's names. Interesting. And funny at the point when Ana protested that her name is not spelled right. LOL.

And how they fed me! I joked that it was some sort of victory party for me and Mama because Noy won. LOL. We talked about the elections and about why we voted for Noy. And Mama thinks I look like his girlfriend. I protested. Shalani Soledad is far too beautiful.

I felt extremely happy that day. To be surrounded by them, to be embraced by them felt really really good. They made me feel that I was part of their family, that their door was always open for me, that I could put my heart on their table and it will be gently taken cared of.

Right now, my heart is full.

Wish you were with us, Chel. I had so much fun that day.

I love your family to begin with. So it was really such a joy to spend time with them. And I like it that Mama is really less shy around me now. She was talking and laughing a lot. And I miss her already.

And that lovely girl Ana, I admire how mature she thinks, way beyond her age.

Thank you for the Polas. Will use them on weekend. Can't wait to blog about it! :D
