Bohol: The Plunge.
I always love to try adventures that put one's life in danger. LOL. I am crazy like that. I told my friend Edeena that we should do something crazy this summer. Well, summer is technically over, but for people like us, summer never ends. And last Friday, we tried The Plunge in Danao, Bohol.
You free fall 45 meters deep in between two mountain gorges. The initial drop, three seconds of it, was scary. Falling is a scary sensation. I shouted at the top of my lungs and then laughed out loud. I tremendously enjoyed it. It felt so liberating.
After falling, you swing from mountain to mountain, like a pendulum, 100 meters in diameter. And everything, at least in my eyes, looked like a movie in slow motion. I saw everything from where I was and they all looked beautiful -- the trees, the mountains, the spring. The wind added to the drama. 'Heaven must feel like this,' I thought while I was swinging for a good five minutes. And for a moment, I thought I was already dead. LOL.
Free falling that day made me realize many things -- that I know I can do anything; that fear is just a state of mind; that it symbolizes many things that I've learned to let go in my life (people and feelings included).
It was the most wonderful experience.
And I would like to do it again.

Preparing to Plunge, to let go, to fly.

Just moments before the Plunge.

Free falling 45 meters deep! It felt very liberating.

Can you see me? Swinging from mountain to mountain.

Above the trees.

Feeling high and happy. :D

Hahaha. Funny gyud ka, T. It's true what they say, fear is just in the head. It does not exist if you do not think about it.
Bitaw, kiat kaau akong dagway! LOL!
