Kind Words and FB.

I never take kind words for granted. And since starting FB, I have been a recipient to many. And mostly because I have the kindest, nicest friends.

This week, these messages made my heart leap.

Jopie wrote in my Portraits album:
"LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how you do portraits, Ai."

Coming from someone whose portraiture style I truly like and admire, that means a lot to me. I always say that our photographs are reflection of who we are. And Jopie's photographs mirror her beauty and gentleness of spirit.

Today, Kristin left a message on my FB wall:
"Aileen, i look forward to browsing your FB accounts every time i get a chance.. you have the best stories and insights to share --- both for the written words and your photographs :) i hope to see you again soon..."

Isn't that sweet? It truly feels wonderful when people appreciate the things you do.

And then Dee, some days ago, left this on my wall, too:
"eventhough I hardly leave any prints of my presense online these days (aside from FB LOL) i still stalk your blog using my mobile phone. ♥"

The thought that someone faithfully reads you feels very comforting. It feels like you always have a companion listening to you, witnessing your life.

In a thread at Glenda's FB album, a friend of hers asked who took her wedding photos and said she wants to meet me,
Glenda replied:
"i'll introduce her [to you] one of these days... i believe that your face is your work, kini applicable kaayo na niya. she's beautiful inside out thus it reflects in her work!"

I was deeply touched, coming from someone who has known me since college and has seen me at my strangest. LOL

Last night, my beloved sister-by-choice Chelo wrote a comment in one of my photos:
"i love you and miss you..slow, fast, or medium...i miss you Aileen Siroy=) i wish im there. namicture nata'g weeds ug uban pa=)"

There's nothing more wonderful than be told that you are loved and missed, especially by people you love.

Thank you, you, you, you, and you. ♥

. . . . .

And to everyone who faithfully visits my FB page, who likes and leaves messages, silent lurkers included -- Thank you.

oh ai..this blog entry mirrors so much what i wanted to say..that we appreciate kind words and lovely thoughts in our posts in FB or our blogs..it means alot when people give thought about us..i know not everyone has the same attitude about messages, but i agree with what you said..its lovely to receive lovely mesasges, not because were megalomaniac, but because we know, being kind and nice is rare these days=)

thank you for always having been kind and thoughtful to me online (and offline)..i appreciate it, more than you'll ever know=)

Chel, it's true. Being nice and kind is rare these days. That is why I feel grateful when people are kind to me.

And also, people who leave messages did not only give their time (visiting and writing comments in our blogs or FB), but shared their thoughts, too. And I think that is very brave. :)

Thank you, too, Chel for constantly being there. :)

Ai, one of the amazing things about you is that you truly know how to appreciate and value people -- and what they say and do. You never take anything for granted, not even the littlest things. I admire that so much about you.

Your photos and words, they shine. You -- yes you -- you shine. Because you have such a wonderful spirit. It's not fake, it's not feigned. You are one of the "realest" person I've met (albeit online). You inspire me.

I wish we'll meet someday.

Stay beautiful. :-)

I always believe that the result of one's work reflects how much passion, love and dedication one puts into it. I think you put your whole heart in whatever you do and it shows in your craft. You are genuine and original and you are one of the kindest souls, and I think that's why so many people, including myself and many others who may or may not know you personally admire and are inspired by you. Continue inspiring...
