I received at least three emails this morning asking what makeup I used for my sister during this shoot. They asked some tips, too, and how I did yesterday's makeup.
Truth be told, we did the makeup in less than ten minutes. These days I do not have the luxury of time. I'm just lucky I guess, that my sister has good skin, I didn't have to spend time on foundation and concealer. She just had powder on.
But sometimes we do need foundation and concealer and if you want to know, I personally use MAC Studio Finish Concealer with SPF 25, Revlon Colorstay Mineral Mousse (because it stays 6 hours on my oily skin and it doesn't smudge!), and MAC Studio Fix Powder. I have terrible skin. It wasn't always this way. I never had pimples growing up, but when I reached 30, everything changed. It started breaking out due to stress and lack of sleep. And oh, because the hormones are in a mess, too. LOL.
Going back to my sister, for her eyes, I used three colors from Bobbi Brown. It's from her Dream Kit -- Bone (light), Shimmer Wash (dark with shimmer), and Mahogany (darkest color). These are, by far, my most favorite colors. The secret to good eyeshadow makeup? Blend, blend, blend!
I'm not a fan of liquid liners, so I used eye pencil to line her upper and lower eyelids with MAC in Taupe. To make her eyes look a bit big, I lined her lower, inner lids with Wet and Wild's silver pencil in 659B. Don't forget to curl the lashes (I use Shu Uemura) and Maybelline's Unstoppable mascara in Very Black.
In this shoot, I used MAC bronzing powder on her instead of blush. But for everyday use, pink and peach tones would be nice on morena skin tones. My sister and I are both morena and we use pink, red, and peach tones. Try Shu Uemura Peach 47 and Bobbi Brown's Tawny (for Peach tones), Nars Orgasm and Bobbi Brown Soft Pink (for pink tones). My personal favorite though is Shiseido Natural Red.
For her lips, it's a pink lipstick from MAC called Angel and I topped it off with Estee Lauder High Gloss in Flamingo.
Isn't makeup a lot of fun? :)

Re-posting that photo on the right because someone asked if her lips are real. YES, it is real. NO collagen injections there.
Growing up, she used to hate her full, pouting lips. But thanks to Angelina Jolie, her lips became uso. LOL.

And what's a shoot without doing something fun and crazy? :D
