Sweet and Simple.

If today was food and I could eat it, I know it would taste like sugar-sprinkled donut -- sweet and simple.

Today, I had endless conversation and laughter with Mecielo and her kids. Oh, what awesome, smart, talented kids they are. They're both quick-witted and well-mannered, too.

Mecielo certainly brought them up very well. I am proud how she and Marlen have become such amazing Moms.

We are both busy, Mecielo and I, and spending a day together is a blessing. She's one of my closest friends. She's family to me. We've been friends for almost 20 years now and we've stood by each other through good and bad. (A bit of trivia: Her parents and my grandparents were very good friends.)

Today, we talked about her upcoming wedding anniv celebration. She changed the venue and date just so I could be there. Yep, she loves me that much. :D I will certainly be there and celebrate this milestone with her.

The day ended quite sweetly. We had dinner at Sentro 1771 because I was craving for catfish flakes, pork ribs (shameless carnivore!), and that delish fried suman topped with mango and coconut jam.

Before heading home, we walked around Boni High, and then grabbed some donuts and coffee at Krispy Kreme.

It was sweet and simple, rainy and happy. I love Saturdays like this.

8 left some love :

It's in Manila, Cinds. The suman was really yummy. But I think it is quite easy to do, too. :)
