I am very overwhelmed by all the love I've received these couple of days. I've been down with flu and many of my friends have been quite willing to be by my side.
So, THANK YOU.
Thank you to everyone who called, texted, and left me the sweetest messages. Many wanted to come visit, but I didn't allow anyone because the first person who visited me ended up sick, too. But everyone has been very wonderful. And I feel very blessed.
Mom said she enjoyed her birthday weekend here in Manila. I'm truly glad. It was our treat for her.
And I just have to say this -- I am really proud that none of us still ask for our Mom for support. It would be such a tragedy if, at 25 (for example), we'd still be depending on her for tuition, allowance, etc. D is only 23 and is no longer asking Mom for anything.
It gives us joy to be able to give back to Mom who has done so much for us all her life.
About two weeks before Mom got here, my friends and I celebrated Rissa's birthday at Lorenzo's Way. We had fun, as usual. Angela was here from Kabul, which made it twice awesome.
These people, they're blessings to me.
