Two Chefs and a fundraising dinner.
Last night, just before the Shakespeare Turns Pinoy play, a fundraising dinner was held at the British School-Manila. Two UK-trained Pinoy chefs were featured -- Chef Amelia Ann Alba and Chef Eugene Raymundo. Barbara's also prepared a sumptuous meal of mesclun of greens, baked fish with spinach and sultanas, roast beef, fettuccine alessandro, asparagus casserole, and arroz a la cristina. It was heart/tummy-filling dinner.

She also prepared toasted bread and butter pudding that was totally divine!
Chef Eugene prepared triple chocolate casserole -- a rich chocolate cake with earl grey-infused ganache, and topped with a delicious walnut cookie and chocolate ice cream!
I found these two very grounded. I had the chance to have a quick chat with Chef Amelia and what a nice person she is.

Right after dinner, the lecture-show of Shakespeare Turns Pinoy followed. But that's for another blog entry.
