She's a quarter of a century old. Brave and kind. Smart and funny. She makes it quite impossible for us not to be proud of her. She has achieved so many things, is relentlessly pursuing her dreams, and takes leaps of faith that scares even the bravest member of our family - me. :P
Last year, for example, she brought her own condo unit without the help of family or anyone else. A bold, brave step for someone so young. Then again, I remember, my bestfriend Joy also built her house when she was 25 without anyone's help. So I guess, D is doing it right. :)
Last night, we celebrated her birthday at Lorenzo's Way. And we talked and laughed and just made sure she was happy.
I am very grateful to everyone who made D's birthday very special. I'm grateful, too, to all my friends who love her.
I hope that D will have a happy life. I pray she will be ridiculously wealthy and will be blessed with good health and a lot of wonderful memories.
Happy Birthday, Baden!
Dinner was at Lorenzo's Way at GB 5.
The conversation that night centered on cultural differences,
the Mindanao conflict, and World War II! Oh well. :D
Opened her gifts during coffee & dessert at Gelatissimo.
She's got a grateful heart and is quite easy to please.
Weeks before her birthday, I collected messages from family and friends,
and from people she finds inspiration from. Direk Joey Reyes sent a message, too.
