Grateful...

... for my lovely Macbook Pro. My four-year-old laptop, Paulo, suddenly died on me.
It served me well. Paulo died about a week before my own Grandpa passed away.

... for all your words of sympathy and prayers when my Grandpa passed away.

... for Tito Rudy, Pat's Dad, who left this in Mimi's Album of the pictures I took of her and Minoy:
"Aileen is the only photographer I know who can produce such tender, romantic images this way."

... to be someone's favorite photographer. And these heartwarming words came from the awesome Jopie (re the CDN feature):
"super happy for you! and hoping to see more features/articles of my favorite photographer!"

... for this comment Chin left in my blog (a pleasant surprise because I know she rarely really leaves comments):
"Yes, the heart is fickle, but yours is one of the bravest, funkiest, and most faithful that I know. Keep being an inspiration!"
How heartwarming is that?

... for the time I spent with Joy and her family, no matter how short it was.

... for Mom's sense of humor. She never fails to make me laugh.

... for this beautiful windy, cold weather!

... for finding inspiration to chronicle and share my travels.

... for dreams coming true.

... for my favorite Starbucks store that knows exactly what I want even before I order and serves my food on my table.

... for the kindness of strangers.

... for things that make those I care about really happy.

... for how my nephews and nieces are growing up to be such amazing people.

... for meeting inspiring people, one of my life-heroes, the fab Sari Yap -- twice! -- while Jingjing and I were in Laoag.

Sari is the President and Editor in Chief of Mega Magazine. I have my work featured in their magazine before but this was the first time I met her. The story about how she started Mega is very inspiring.

Then again, though I rarely pipe up, please know that I always, always visit. I think of these visits as tiptoeing into the breathing spaces of people I love!

I love gratitude lists, too, Siroymylab. Puts everything into perspective :)

I'm the same way, Chin. I read everyone's blog, but I seldom leave comments.

True, gratitude does put everything into perspective. :) Thank you for leaving comments at the right moment you do. It means a lot to me. :)

Sari indeed looks very young and very pretty! And she's so nice!
And yes, Jingjing is ageless. She has just grown to be more beautiful as years go by.

Thank you for your kind words about my blog. :) I should really try to blog as often as I could.

Weeee....you have a Macbook Pro? I want one too! Any chance the CDN feature is available online? Would be nice to read the entire article. :-)

Hi Ai! It's true! This quote by Sebastio Salgado always reminds me of you: "If you take a picture of a human that does not make him noble, there is no reason to take this picture."

You were my singular inspiration for getting into photography myself. So thank you. :D

Yes, Liz! My old laptop is beyond repair. :) The CDN isn't available online, sadly. :(

You are really good at it, Jops and I'm really glad you decided to go into photography. You are my favorite portrait photographer and I will never get tired of telling you that.

Thank you for being so kind, for appreciating my brand of photography. That really means a lot to me.
