Seminyak Beach. Seminyak, Bali.
It is no secret that I love to travel. And I am not a snob traveler. I go everywhere. I'd venture out to roads less traveled and shamelessly visit tourist spots. What is important for me are the stories and significance of each place I visit. I even travel to street corners I've never explored yet in this bustling city.
I stopped blogging over at my Travel.Food.Finds site for a year and realized that I should not have stopped at all. I've so many travel and food adventures to write about. So I relaunched it last February (and made it a dot com). I am enjoying every moment I am spending writing in that blog.
Keeping a travel blog is like going back to places you've been to. It is an exercise of remembering. I have also been browsing through old pictures and I am feeling all grateful for every trip, every memory.
Caribbean Mini Cake. Sweet Bella.
I am also sharing all my food adventures there. I don't cook so I eat out a lot. And weekends are always pretty special. CBB and I would try restos we've never tried before. I'm a foodie. And I have my body to prove it. :D Who tries 2-3 different dessert/gelato places in one day? I do go into sugar shock and food coma sometimes. Haha.
I have a lot to be grateful about -- opportunities to travel, friends who travel with me, a bf who spoils me rotten, and a really good appetite to try every food in town. :D
Took this flower shot at Lilo-an Plaza when Mom and I went on a quick trip.
Mom is back home from the hospital. It's her heart again. She's feeling better now, except that her left arm is still swollen. I hope that she'd be fully well and strong because she will be traveling (for work) in the coming weeks.
But I am grateful that she's out of danger now. Grateful, too, to my sister Binky who took care of Mom.
I have been down with flu myself and had terrible fever for days. The fever and colds are gone, but I'm still coughing. My voice isn't back to normal yet.
I don't like getting sick. I missed Shayna's 7th birthday party. I also missed seeing my friend Jane when she was here in Manila. But as I said over at Twitter, getting sick is our own body telling us to slow down.
Thankful that Mom and I are feeling better. Thankful, too, to my friends who sent get-well-soon messages, food, prayers, and good thoughts.
