I received a lot of pleasant surprises this month. It almost feels like my birthday celebration started a month early. Or maybe, it is already Christmas my side of the world. :)
Despite the stress catching up on work after spending six days in Davao and Samal Island, I am grateful for so many things, big and small.
My nephews and niece, barely three months in Canada, are already doing what they love to do -- sing. They formed a band (Miko on drums, Eunie & Aiana on guitar, Eugie on bass, Aiana is the lead vocalist). They've performed on two occasions and I am mighty proud of them.
I had the most awesome time in Davao & Samal Island. It will be an experience I will always treasure. I met the most amazing people. Above all, I gained new friends. I had so much fun!
J got me an advance birthday gift! I absolutely love it!
A bit of good news from CDN. :)
Two friends told me I am one of their favorite persons in the world. How heartwarming is that?
The Dainty Mom featured my home workspace. Such an honor to be featured in her blog. This space is simple but I am proud of it because I did all the painting and decorating. Go visit and leave Martine some love! :)
Delectable Dee left this message on my FB wall: "You're more than just lucky, in fact, you're not it. You are thoroughly blessed! And loved. ♥" I do feel quite blessed. And very loved. :)
My globetrotting friends are here -- S flew in from Jakarta and R just got back from Kenya. So we met up for a fabulous dinner. It was wonderful to see all of them again. That night felt a lot like Christmas.
So many good things are happening in the lives of my friends (and their families). I am proud and happy for them!
And the ever thoughtful Marislie quoted Louisa May Alcott and posted it on FB and said: 'It's for you, Ai.' -- this:
She was one of those happily created beings who please without effort, make friends everywhere, and take life so gracefully and easily that less fortunate souls are tempted to believe that such are born under a lucky star.
My heart is full.
