Photo grabbed from My Paranormal Romance official website.
Last Sunday, my friends and I + D watched My Paranormal Romance at the Edsa Shangrila Premier Cinema. Even though the movie was in Cebuano (with English subtitle), my tagalog friends watched it only because my Mom was in it. Yes, I have the most loving friends and it means a lot to me that they love my family, too. As Chelo said over twitter: "thats what true friends do! they support our loved ones' endeavors. the most basic of friendship unwritten rule." Oh, how true! :)
Anyway, D and I are very proud of Mommy. She played the male lead star's mom. It was a small and quick role but she was memorable. She played the part so well. She was the funniest! I heard the loudest laughter when she appeared and said her lines. Just my opinion and observation, of course. I'm her daughter and I could've heard my own laughter. Haha.
We posed infront of the poster after the movie. We even had pictures with the lead stars. We are jologs like that. But wait, Van Roxas (the male lead) and D are friends, so it wasn't very jologs to have a picture with him, right?
The female lead, Phoebe Kaye, was the first one to say hello to D. Such a nice and sweet girl. No airs at all, unlike some feeling sikat celebrities in Cebu who have delusions of superstardom. Phoebe Kaye was such a breath of fresh air.
It was also my friend Bambi's birthday. After the movie, we had a feast at C2. And like all our get-togethers, we shared a lot of stories and laughter.
My entire week was a storm of activities. The slowness of events last Sunday was a welcome treat.
Congratulations, Mom! :)
