I wasn't kidding when I said (over at Facebook) that there were lots of happy tears during my sister Binky's wedding. When she walked down the
aisle bridge across the garden's pond, I saw she was trying to hold back tears.
Leo and Binky have gone through so much in their individual lives and they consider meeting each other a great blessing.
Binky could no longer hold back tears when she said her wedding vows.
Mom listening (and teary-eyed) as the couple exchanged vows.
She still looks pretty even when she's crying, no? :)
This was the part of the ceremony where the Bride & Groom must say something to their families.
Our family was represented by Mom. Leo's family was represented by his daughter Michelle.
It was Leo who said something first. His voice cracked as he thanked his daughter and told his story.
And like everyone else in that wedding, I cried at this point, too.
Binky thanked Mom.
Tears + hug.
Binky also thanked Michelle and welcomed her into our family.
. . . . .
It was such a tender, moving moment. I love weddings as personal as this.
