Liza and I finally met! We've known each other through our blogs and got to know more about each other through FB. I've met a lot of fascinating, intelligent people through the web and Liza is one of them.
I picked her up at Shangrila Hotel in Makati where she was staying and we walked to Lorenzo's Way for dinner. We had quick coffee and dessert at Mary Grace.
She was everything I imagined her to be -- beautiful, genuine, smart, and straightforward. And I love her voice! Thank you, Liz! I loved the time spent with you. Thank you, too, for the gifts!
My friend Chris turned a year older and we all celebrated his birthday at Cafe Mediterranean in Podium, albeit two weeks late. We wanted everyone to be present and since our friends S and R were both out of the country for missions and meetings, the birthday boy moved his celebration at a date when everyone was available. It was also the first time I got to see S after she arrived in the country from her posting in Jakarta. I was super happy to see her again.
As in all our get-togethers, the night was filled with good food, conversations, laughter, and plans. Plan #1: Kite-flying on Sunday. :D Happy birthday, Friend! More adventures!
Monica turned a year older, too! She's 8 going on 38. This little girl is so mature for her age, she makes me and E look like juveniles. :D We celebrated her birthday last Saturday at Italianni's, Boni High. Of course, Angela (her big sister) was there. Monica and Angela are E's nieces and I feel like they're mine, too. I love these girls. And they are such a delight to be around.
We had a grand time. The girls made their own pizza. E and I ordered, well, a lot! It would've been a perfect afternoon if only the girls didn't see that weird photo of me with big flower on my head on E's phone. Haha. I always go home happy and soul-enriched whenever I spend time with them. Happy birthday, Monica! And E, thank you!
