It has been 14 years since I uprooted myself from Cebu and move to Manila to take a job in the UN. It may seem funny to some that I celebrate this 'uprooting' every year, but I like celebrating my life in this big city. It's some sort of thanksgiving for that incredible journey and for all the blessings I have received.
But I will not make a sentimental entry this time. I'll do that next year, on my 15th. *grin*
On my anniversary two years ago, I wrote this. Last year, I did this.
Pasta & Panna Cotta | Instagram
Today, CBB and I had early dinner at Italianni's to celebrate. The pasta was fantastic. I also ordered Mango Panna Cotta, a favorite. Delicious, creamy, and just divine. :)

Yesterday, I met up with my Ireland-based highschool classmate, Noel. He was in Cebu recently and dropped by Manila on his way back to Ireland. Noel and I were partners-in-crime back then, both in laag and in school activities. He's the doting brother I never had. And if we look kiat in the picture, it's because we really are kiat when we are together.
And because he is a doting brother-friend to me (and because it's my anniversary), he gave me a rather expensive gift, which got a lot of protest from me. He told me: "Pero daghan na kaayo ko'g utang nimo." After saying thank you, I teased him: "Wala pay labot ang birthday gift ani ha!" We laughed.
Before he left, we promised each other we'd scuba dive together the next time he visits.
Thank you again, Noel! Don't forget our pinky swear! :D
