Grateful for these gentle reminders to dream and live fearlessly. --
My Mom recently won Best Supporting Actress for Katapusang Labok, Sinulog Festival Short Film category. I am very proud of her. She is a reminder that dreams do come true no matter where or how old we are. She is an inspiration for me to relentlessly chase after my dreams.
My friend Fair sent me a text message, she said:
"A year ago, I happened to see you in Waltermart. We had a soulful conversation. You told me not to be afraid to live my life. Well, I am now a mother and on February 14 is my wedding. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me that day. You've left an indelible mark in my life."
Dear Fair, continue to live your life fearlessly.
The awesome Stella who speaks and writes perfect English and whose style I admire left me a message on Facebook --
"Hi 'leen! This is really just a random message to tell you (because I think I haven't) what I know many others have told you: I love everything about your webpage. Every entry is a reflection of your remarkable talent, tasteful style, and wonderful personality."
My heart grew the size of Africa.
So, you see, despite the stress I went through the last two weeks -- I had so many deadlines to beat, a shoe business to study, articles to write, bags to sell, a laptop that died on me, and a cold that just won't go away -- I still feel pretty blessed.
